My Gym
For about six or eight weeks, Owen has been going to the Waddlers class (17-22 months) at our local My Gym. Cousin Alice had the idea so that Oqwe and Owen could spend more time together. It's been great. Owen is gaining confidence and strength. He is pictured with teachers Brittany and Jesse. Enjoy the photos!

Farmer's Market!
Sunday morning we all went to check out the local Farmer's Market and Street Festival. We tried to interest O. in carrots. He ate plenty of orange veggies as a baby but not so much as a toddler. He really liked the fresh oj though! Fun!

Spring Break!
Thursday afternoon Tia Jean arrived from Pittsburgh. I was able to come home for a late lunch with everyone since it was evening parent-teacher conferences. O's music class was canceled which was lucky since he had the sniffles and would've missed it anyway. After conferences we had potato omelettes and steamed green beans for dinner. Friday O. stayed home from playschool and My Gym free play and Jean came to school to volunteer for the afternoon and then we headed home officially on spring break! We had family dinner with my parents and Derek cooked up a storm of delicious meatballs, spaghetti and a beautiful salad. To top it off we thawed out a pan of delicious eggplant parmesan that Joe had made while he was here in February. Delicious!
Saturday morning we played at home, then Jean and I bundled the kids up in the jogging stoller and the graco for a neighborhood walk. At the end of the walk we stopped at the park so O. could play and L. could have a mid-morning snack, then headed home and cooked fried eggs for everyone. O. went down to nap just after the snack (around 11:30) and we all met Grandma and Grandpa for a late lunch at California Pizza Kitchen around 1:30. O. tried out a booster seat and enjoyed taking a walk with Grandpa outside to see the ducks while we waited for our food. He shared pepperoni pizza with daddy and a few soybeans from momma's salad too. Laney slept through lunch.
Grandma and Grandpa were getting ready to fly to Naples on the red-eye so they came back to the house for goodbyes and headed home. They helped Owen mark "hugs" every day on the calendar since they'll be gone for 10 days and O. is very attached to seeing them almost every day.
Jean will be here until Wednesday and then momma will have both kids on her own for the rest of the week and then next week too! We have lots of fun plans for playdates, park visits, My Gym, storytime, music class and playschool.

The park
We had a Saturday visit from Will and his mom (due next month!) The boys both looked so grown up! Laney just looked sweet.

On Feb. 25, 2011 (Laney's one month birthday) Owen had his first preschool field trip to the fire station. (Send more pix Gramp!) He went with Gramp, Grandpa, and daddy! What a fun day!
