Spring has Sprung!

Oh my goodness! It has been so long since I have posted that the Blogger dashboard is completely different and this font looks so small I can barely see it. Yes, I have started using command plus to enlarge the print on webpages too. Forty is gaining ground in this body. But I am taking steps to prevent this. I actually went to a yoga class and swam laps Monday night. At an actual gym. It felt great. Of course, I haven't been back this week but it will happen. Derek and I are convinced we will not make it out of teenagehood alive without starting a workout regime. I am remiss in my blogging and the result is that Laney and Owen are changing right before us and I am not documenting as well as I used to. Updates: Laney is 15 months. She uses several two word phrases, such as "me up", "help please", and "thank you" She loves to echo new words, and regularly says "drinkie" (while signing milk), dance, go, owie, momma, daddy, banana, doggy, Luna, bath, pizza,out, waffle, water, caillou, grandma and grandpa among other words. She has shown interest in sitting on the pink potty, and so far has peed in it once. She wears size 18-24 months clothes and size 4 1/2 shoes. She has 10 teeth and would NOT open for us to brush until we got her an electric toothbrush last week. She likes to eat vegetables, fruits, chicken, pizza, eggs, yogurt, applesauce, waffles, and oatmeal. She is still using a bottle once or twice a day but only for water. Her milk intake is down since dropping milk in a bottle a few weeks ago. She uses a paci occasionally, and likes to instigate roughhousing with her big brother. As of this week, they have really started playing together and interacting on their own more than ever before. I catch O. telling her "I love you" at least once or twice a day. She is about 23 pounds. Owen is 34 months and eagerly awaiting his third birthday. He has a logical explanation for all his ideas and actions and becomes easily/quickly upset if things aren't going according to his plan. (gee, where could he have learned that?) He still enjoys garbage trucks but is shifting a little into an interest in doctors, hospitals, and dentists. He wears mostly 3T size clothes and size 7 shoes. He loves to cook and plan out projects like making smoothies or building a birdhouse. We planted a pizza garden this year and he really enjoys that as well. He loves to play outside with the neighborhood boys and wants a scooter and to climb trees. He is about 32 pounds. Part of what has kept me from blogging is simple photo management so there are no photos here, but maybe soon I will figure that part out again.
