The first 24 days of school, we had to mark an X next to "sunny" on the weather chart! Today we rejoiced and marked "cloudy". Some kids wanted to mark "foggy" so we debated the differences between the two. Looks like we might even get some rain in the next couple of days. I came home and put on cozy "fall" clothes. funny, a little chill doesn't seem to be bothering me here as it did in the city. hmmm.
on another note, today was picture day. My 28th if you count preschool and college senior portraits. hmmm. I don't think they make those "class photo" frames with 28 openings. Today I had a picture taken no less than three times:
the first, a staff photo in front of the school on risers at 8:10
the second, an individual pic for staff id at 10:10
and the third, a class group photo on a riser in a grassy field at 10:30.
Needless to say this threw us off schedule and a little out of whack. My afternoon "intervention" session also began this week, and wouldn't you know someone came knocking at my door at 2:21 (we usually line up to dismiss at 2:10) looking for us. We are lucky no one missed the bus. That's how much fun we were having. We didn't even pay attention to what time to go HOME!~

What did you decide were the important differences between cloudy and foggy?
I told them that fog was when clouds touched the ground...since the clouds were high up by the mountains, it was more "cloudy" than foggy. Fog blocks vision. how's that?
