The last three days of our Italy trip were spent exploring Rome. We stayed in an adorable apartment on Via Pellegrino near the Campo di Fiori, which is a beautiful morning fresh market that sets up daily from about 7-2. We arrived around 4 pm on Monday afternoon, July 7. Our landlord met us at the front door of the apartment to give us the key. He was a lively little guy, and proceeded to walk us down the block to show us the neighborhood grocery and help us buy bus tickets at the smokeshop. After he left, we returned to the market and bought bread, cheese, meat, and wine for a late luncheon at our new abode. Then we went out to Piazza Navona for drinks and people watching.
